First Lending Solutions is a mortgage broker and mortgage lender based in Riverside, a short drive up the 91 from Corona. We help Corona home buyers and homeowners with purchase and refinance loans, and have since the company was founded in 2005 by CEO Alan Vogan, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran who has worked in mortgage and real estate since 2001.
Corona sits where the 91 and the 15 meet, which is a big part of why people move here. Many of our Corona clients commute to Orange County, the Inland Empire or north Los Angeles County, and want a home that works for both the budget and the drive.
Why Corona buyers work with First Lending Solutions
- Close by. Our Riverside office is just up the 91, and most of the process can happen by phone, email and our secure online application.
- Broker and lender in one. We have more than one way to look for a loan that fits you, which helps when you’re comparing homes in different parts of Corona.
- Veteran-led. Alan Vogan served in the U.S. Marine Corps, and we’re glad to help veterans and military families use their VA benefits.
- Clear about the full payment. We look at taxes, insurance, HOA dues and special taxes up front, not just principal and interest.
- What clients say: Rated 5.0 stars from 308 Google reviews (as of October 2026).
Buying in Corona as a 91 or 15 commuter
If you’ll be driving the 91 into Orange County, the 15 toward Temecula or Ontario, or riding Metrolink from the North Main Corona or West Corona stations, where you buy changes your day. West Corona and Sierra del Oro put you close to the 91 and the west-side station. South Corona neighborhoods like Eagle Glen and Dos Lagos sit closer to the 15. We help you look at what each option costs per month so you can weigh the drive against the payment with real numbers.
Corona neighborhoods we serve
- Downtown Corona and the Grand Boulevard circle
- Sierra del Oro and West Corona
- Corona Ranch and the Corona Hills area
- South Corona, including Eagle Glen, Dos Lagos and Mountain Gate
- Temescal Valley communities such as Sycamore Creek and Glen Ivy
- Nearby Norco, Eastvale and Jurupa Valley
Each part of Corona raises different questions. Many South Corona and Temescal Valley homes are in planned communities with HOA dues, and some carry Community Facilities District special taxes (often called Mello-Roos) that count toward the monthly payment lenders review. Older homes near downtown can need extra attention during the appraisal and inspection, especially for FHA and VA loans, which have their own property standards. And some Temescal Valley addresses are in unincorporated Riverside County rather than the City of Corona, so we check the property’s actual tax bill instead of guessing.
Larger lots and horse property near Corona and Norco
Next door, Norco is known for horse-friendly lots and riding trails, and parts of Corona and Temescal Valley have larger parcels too. These homes can be a great fit, but lenders look closely at things like lot size, outbuildings, barns and permitted additions, and the appraiser needs comparable sales nearby. We’ll talk through those details before you make an offer, so the loan is set up for the property you actually want.
Home loan options in Corona
- Purchase loans for Corona single-family homes, condos and townhomes, from Sierra del Oro to South Corona.
- Refinance loans for Corona homeowners who want to change their loan type or term, or use some of their equity.

- VA loans for eligible veterans, service members and surviving spouses. VA loans are made by private lenders and partially guaranteed by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

- Jumbo loans or a HELOC? Ask us what may be available for a larger Corona or Temescal Valley home.

Corona mortgage FAQs
Do you work with buyers in Corona even though your office is in Riverside?
Yes. Our office at 3610 Central Ave, Suite 400, Riverside, CA 92506 is a short drive from Corona on the 91, and we’ve helped Inland Empire buyers since 2005. Most of the process can be handled by phone, email and our secure online application, and you’re welcome to meet us in person Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. PT.
How do Mello-Roos and HOA dues in South Corona affect my loan?
Community Facilities District special taxes (Mello-Roos) and HOA dues are part of your monthly housing cost, and lenders count them when they review your debt-to-income ratio. We look at the actual amounts for the home you’re considering so you can compare it fairly with a home that doesn’t have them.
Can I get an FHA or VA loan on an older home near downtown Corona?
Often, yes. FHA and VA loans have their own property standards, so older homes can need extra attention during the appraisal and inspection. We’ll explain what lenders look for before you make an offer, so there are fewer surprises later.
Can you help me finance a horse property in Norco or a larger lot near Corona?
Yes, we can review it with you. Lenders look at lot size, outbuildings, permitted improvements and comparable sales, and those details affect which loan options fit. Call us early in your search so we can talk through the property before you write an offer.
I’m a veteran moving to Corona. Can you help with a VA loan?
Yes. We help eligible veterans, active-duty service members, Reserve and National Guard members, and eligible surviving spouses with VA purchase and refinance loans. Eligibility depends on your service history and VA rules, and we can help you request your Certificate of Eligibility. Our CEO, Alan Vogan, is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.
